Dr. Steven Immerman Claimed

Dr. Steven Immerman moved to Eau Claire and started Evergreen Surgical in December of 1981. Since starting his solo practice the clinic has grown to its present size of six general surgeons. Before moving to Eau Claire, Dr. Immerman received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago. Following that, he completed a five year residency in general surgery at Northwestern University. As part of his surgical training, he completed an American Cancer Society Clinical Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, Illinois.

Dr. Immerman has published papers on cancer of the breast, lung, pancreas, parathyroid glands, and skin. More recently, he has published papers on the treatment of difficult pilonidal disease with the cleft-lift operation and pilonidal cysts, and is recognized as a leader in this field.
